Ramsar – Management Planning Guidelines - fit for purpose?
Mike Alexander has written a paper reviewing the current Ramsar management planning guidelines against the recent core management planning principles identified at the CMS Consortium workshop in 2008. This paper can be downloaded here.
The paper includes a very good example of a plan from the Cors Caron Ramsar site in Wales and how it plans for both the nature conservation features of the site along with integrating public access onto the site.
