Planning Principles Workshop

The CMS Consortium (CMSC) and Eurosite are organising a workshop "Establishing and Confirming Management Planning Principles on Natura 2000 and other conservation sites". It will be held between Tuesday 30th September 2008 and Thursday 2nd October at Plas Tan y Bwlch, Snowdonia National Park’s Environmental Studies Centre (www.plastanybwlch.com).

By examining and discussing a variety of approaches to management planning on Natura2000 sites used across Europe, the participants will establish and agree core planning principles that should be promoted for all Natura2000 management plans regardless of approach.

It is aimed at those with overall responsibility for management planning on Natura 2000 sites within their organisations or staff with experience in plan preparation. The organisations can be statutory agencies or NGOs. The workshop is restricted to 25 attendees.
